VIP Vision & Watchguard CCTV
CCTV AT NEPEAN MICRO COMPUTERS
Find the right cameras and recorder for your property
Compare VIP Vision and Watchguard CCTV for homes, shops, warehouses and commercial sites. Start with a multi-camera kit, add a camera to a compatible recorder or build a system around the areas you need to cover.
Choose your starting point
VIP Vision IP cameras
Choose the camera by what you need to see. A turret suits a doorway or loading bay, while a panoramic camera covers a wider frontage from one mounting point.
- 6MP AI deterrence turret for a defined entry or approach.
- 8MP 180° dual-lens bullet for a broad overview.
- Multi Vision overview and PTZ camera for a fixed overview plus controllable close-ups.
Watchguard CCTV kits
Start with a recorder and several cameras in one package. Compare the number of included cameras, recorder capacity and hard-drive size.
- L-Series 4-camera 6MP kit with a 4-channel recorder and 1TB drive.
- L-Series 4-camera 6MP kit with an 8-channel recorder and 2TB drive for room to expand.
- Compact AI 4-camera 8MP kit with an 8-channel recorder and 2TB drive.
Network video recorders
An NVR records video from IP cameras and lets you review it later. Some models also power compatible cameras through their built-in Ethernet ports.
- Compact 8-channel PoE recorder with 2TB for smaller systems.
- VIP Vision 32-channel AI recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports and four drive bays. Check the listing for included storage.
Three things to check before you buy
- Decide what each camera must show. A wide view suits general coverage. A tighter view gives more detail at a gate, counter or doorway. Check lighting and camera placement, especially after dark.
- Match the camera and recorder. Check the exact models, supported resolution, bandwidth and features such as AI alerts, audio and remote viewing. If you are upgrading an older coax system, confirm whether it uses HDCVI or another coax format before choosing replacement cameras.
- Allow for storage and expansion. Count camera channels and built-in PoE ports separately. Check the switch or recorder’s power budget, then size storage for the number of cameras, recording settings and days of footage you want to keep.
Can I add a camera to an existing system?
Start with the model number on the recorder and the camera you want to add. For wired IP cameras, Power over Ethernet (PoE) can carry data and power over one cable when both devices support the required standard. If you use a separate PoE switch, confirm how the camera will connect to the recorder’s network.
