Specifications

Installation

Connect to a compatible IP CCTV network or NVR. Confirm recorder compatibility and select a suitable power source and mounting accessory for your installation. Recorder, storage and network cabling are sold separately.

Adjustable ColorVu framing and active warning

The motorised varifocal lens lets an installer adjust framing and focus remotely during setup. Select a wider overview or narrow the image around an entrance without replacing the lens. Active audio and light warnings can supplement recorded evidence.

Additional product features

• 8MP image: 3840 × 2160
• Motorised 2.7–13.5mm varifocal lens
• ColorVu 3.0 and HikAI-ISP image processing
• 130dB WDR; IR and white light up to 60m
• Built-in dual microphones, speaker and strobe warning
• IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X protection ratings

Getting the best recording results

Aim the camera so important subjects occupy enough of the image for the detail you need. Avoid pointing directly at bright lights and keep nearby walls or eaves out of the illumination path to reduce reflections at night. Configure recording schedules, event zones and notifications for the site. Detection accuracy and low-light image quality depend on mounting, lighting and settings.

H.265+ can reduce storage use on supported recorders, but retention time still depends on resolution, frame rate, bitrate, scene activity and hard-drive capacity. Night-vision distances are maximum illumination ratings, not guaranteed identification distances.

Planning your installation

Set the optical framing at installation and test the warning zone after dark so it covers the intended area. Contact Nepean Micro Computers in Penrith for help matching the camera to your Hikvision NVR and mounting setup.
