Specifications and Package

Installation and Compatibility

Connect to a compatible IP CCTV network or NVR. Confirm recording, mounting and power requirements. Recorder, storage and cabling are separate unless explicitly included.

DarkFighter S bullet with motorised lens

The motorised varifocal lens allows the installer to select the right balance between overall coverage and subject detail. This is useful for entrances, access lanes and perimeter views where a fixed lens would limit positioning choices.

Additional product features

• 8MP image: 3840 × 2160
• Motorised 2.7–13.5mm F1.2 lens
• DarkFighter S imaging and 130dB WDR
• IR and white supplementary light up to 60m
• H.265+ video compression
• IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X protection

Getting the best recording results

Aim the camera so important subjects occupy enough of the image for the detail you need. Avoid pointing directly at bright lights and keep nearby walls or eaves out of the illumination path to reduce reflections at night. Configure recording schedules, event zones and notifications for the site. Detection accuracy and low-light image quality depend on mounting, lighting and settings.

H.265+ can reduce storage use on supported recorders, but retention time still depends on resolution, frame rate, bitrate, scene activity and hard-drive capacity. Night-vision distances are maximum illumination ratings, not guaranteed identification distances.

Planning your installation

Set the focal length for the subject distance during installation and confirm the camera and recorder event settings work together. Contact Nepean Micro Computers in Penrith for help matching the camera to your Hikvision NVR and mounting setup.
