Installation

Connect to a compatible IP CCTV network or NVR. Confirm recorder compatibility and select a suitable power source and mounting accessory for your installation. Recorder, storage and network cabling are sold separately.

Wide dual-lens coverage in colour

The dual-lens design provides a broad panoramic view for open areas and long frontages. Colour imaging can help preserve clothing and vehicle-colour information when lighting conditions support it. The speaker and strobe provide an additional deterrent response.

Additional product features

• 6MP panoramic dual-lens imaging
• 2.8mm lens configuration
• ColorVu low-light colour technology
• White supplementary lighting for colour images in darkness
• Built-in microphone, speaker and strobe warning
• H.265+ video compression

Getting the best recording results

Aim the camera so important subjects occupy enough of the image for the detail you need. Avoid pointing directly at bright lights and keep nearby walls or eaves out of the illumination path to reduce reflections at night. Configure recording schedules, event zones and notifications for the site. Detection accuracy and low-light image quality depend on mounting, lighting and settings.

H.265+ can reduce storage use on supported recorders, but retention time still depends on resolution, frame rate, bitrate, scene activity and hard-drive capacity. Night-vision distances are maximum illumination ratings, not guaranteed identification distances.

Compatible Hikvision NVRs and CCTV Accessories

Complete your Hikvision CCTV installation with compatible network video recorders and accessories available from Nepean Micro Computers.

• Hikvision 8-Channel PoE NVR with 2TB HDD – An 8-channel recorder with integrated PoE ports for compatible IP cameras. Confirm the camera resolution, stream support, bandwidth and available recording channels for your system.

Ask Nepean Micro Computers about suitable junction boxes, mounting brackets, outdoor-rated network cabling, surveillance hard drives and power equipment for this model.

Check the camera’s PoE standard and power demand against the recorder’s per-port and total power budget before connecting. Multi-sensor and panoramic camera functions also require suitable recorder and firmware support.

Planning your installation

Use the panoramic view for broad coverage. Test the detail at the outer edges if a specific doorway or gate is critical. Contact Nepean Micro Computers in Penrith for help matching the camera to your Hikvision NVR and mounting setup.
