Getting the best recording results

Aim the camera so important subjects occupy enough of the image for the detail you need. Avoid pointing directly at bright lights and keep nearby walls or eaves out of the illumination path to reduce reflections at night. Configure recording schedules, event zones and notifications for the site. Detection accuracy and low-light image quality depend on mounting, lighting and settings.

H.265+ can reduce storage use on supported recorders, but retention time still depends on resolution, frame rate, bitrate, scene activity and hard-drive capacity. Night-vision distances are maximum illumination ratings, not guaranteed identification distances.

Planning your installation

Set the warning schedule and detection area to suit the site, then test how the strobe appears from the approach. Contact Nepean Micro Computers in Penrith for help matching the camera to your Hikvision NVR and mounting setup.

Detailed technical specifications

Why choose this camera?

Capture fine 4K detail across entrances, driveways and shopfronts while retaining colour information in low light. The wide 2.8mm view helps cover open areas, and the bright F1.0 lens supports low-light colour performance. Two-way audio lets an operator speak to visitors through a supported recorder or app. Configure human and vehicle detection zones to focus alerts on activity that matters, with audible and flashing warnings providing an active deterrent. Match the PoE+ supply and recorder firmware to the camera before installation.
