The Akuvox E18C is a commercial-grade SIP video door intercom and facial recognition access control terminal for apartment buildings, offices, commercial entrances and multi-tenant properties. It combines a large 7-inch touchscreen, dual-camera anti-spoofing technology, multiple entry methods and two-way IP intercom communication in one device.

Facial Recognition & Secure Entry

The E18C uses visible-light facial recognition and dual-camera liveness detection to help verify authorised users without requiring a card or PIN. Its large user capacity makes it suitable for apartment complexes, workplaces and managed building entrances. Recognition speed and accuracy are manufacturer-rated; actual results vary with lighting, enrolment, installation and configuration.

Multiple Access Methods

Choose the authentication method appropriate for your site: facial recognition, PIN, compatible 125kHz or 13.56MHz RFID credentials, supported NFC credentials, Bluetooth BLE or QR codes. Feature availability may depend on firmware, credentials and system configuration.

SIP Video Intercom & System Integration

In addition to access control, the E18C operates as a SIP video door phone. Visitors can communicate with occupants or reception through compatible SIP phones and supported mobile or desktop clients. It supports SIP and ONVIF integration, subject to the capabilities and configuration of the wider system. Wiegand, RS485 and relay connections allow integration with compatible access-control hardware and door-release equipment.

PoE Installation & Outdoor Protection

The E18C connects through a 10/100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port and supports IEEE 802.3af PoE, simplifying installation with a compatible PoE switch or injector. Alternatively, it can be powered from a suitable 12V DC supply. Its IP65-rated housing is designed for protected outdoor entry applications when installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Optional features: LTE connectivity and body-temperature detection are not standard on every E18C configuration. Body-temperature detection requires the applicable MD02 variant/accessory. Check the exact supplied version before ordering.
