6MP High-Definition CCTV Recording

The DS-2CD2066G2H-IU delivers video at up to 3200 × 1800 resolution, providing significantly more image detail than conventional Full HD 1080p cameras.

Its 6MP imaging is suitable for identifying activity around homes, shops, offices, loading areas and other security-sensitive locations.

Hikvision AcuSense Human and Vehicle Detection

Hikvision AcuSense technology uses deep-learning algorithms to classify people and vehicles.

This helps reduce unnecessary motion notifications caused by unrelated movement, improving the usefulness of security alerts.

Compatible intelligent detection functions include:

• Human and vehicle classification

• Line crossing detection

• Intrusion detection

• Region entrance detection

• Region exiting detection

Available functions and recording notifications depend on camera configuration and NVR compatibility.

DarkFighter Low-Light Performance

The camera incorporates Hikvision's Powered by DarkFighter imaging technology to improve image clarity in low-light conditions.

This makes the camera particularly suitable for outdoor entrances, driveways, car parks and other areas with limited lighting.

When lighting becomes insufficient, the camera can switch to infrared-assisted black-and-white night vision.

40 Metre Infrared Night Vision

Built-in infrared illumination provides a manufacturer-rated night vision range of up to 40 metres.

Smart IR technology helps control infrared illumination for improved night-time image quality.

Actual usable night vision distance depends on the scene, weather, reflective surfaces and installation conditions.

Fixed 4mm Lens

This model features a fixed 4mm lens, providing a more concentrated viewing area than the wider 2.8mm version.

The 4mm lens is a practical choice for:

• Driveways and vehicle entrances

• Pathways and building approaches

• Warehouse aisles

• Car parks

• Commercial building perimeters

The fixed lens does not provide optical zoom.

Built-in Microphone for Audio Recording

The DS-2CD2066G2H-IU includes an integrated microphone for capturing ambient audio.

When configured with compatible recording equipment, audio can be recorded alongside video.

Please note: This camera has a built-in microphone for audio capture; it is not advertised as a two-way audio camera with an integrated speaker.

H.265+ Efficient Video Compression

Hikvision H.265+ compression technology helps reduce storage consumption and network bandwidth compared with less efficient video encoding methods.

This is particularly useful for multi-camera CCTV installations and continuous recording applications.

120dB True Wide Dynamic Range

The camera features 120dB True WDR, helping improve image visibility in challenging lighting conditions.

This is beneficial when monitoring entrances, doorways and areas containing both strong sunlight and deep shadows.

IP67 Outdoor Weather Protection

The DS-2CD2066G2H-IU features an IP67-rated housing designed to resist dust and water ingress.

It is suitable for indoor and outdoor surveillance when correctly installed, with suitable protection for cable connections.

Power over Ethernet Installation

Power over Ethernet allows a compatible PoE switch or network video recorder to provide power and network connectivity through a single Ethernet cable.

This simplifies installation and reduces the need for a separate power supply at the camera location.
