Detection and Commissioning
Line-crossing, intrusion and region entry/exit rules support human and vehicle filtering. Configure the scene first, then test each rule and its recording response. Confirm event support with the exact recorder and firmware.
Allow sufficient PoE+ power headroom when choosing a switch or recorder. External audio connections require suitable audio equipment; a line output alone does not establish that a microphone or speaker is built into the camera.

Installation and Recording Advice
Check the NVR supports the camera resolution, compression format and required event functions. Protect outdoor cable connections with suitable weatherproof fittings. Position the camera for a clear view of faces and access routes, then test recording and alerts in daylight and at night.

Choosing the View
A wider lens setting covers more area; a narrower setting concentrates image detail on a smaller target zone. This is a bullet camera with a setup lens adjustment, so choose a PTZ model if you need remote pan and tilt movement.
